SPIDERTAG IN SPRINGFIELD

Public Art
Client:  Sculpture Walk Springfield
Location: Springfield, MO, USA
Artist: Spidertag

Service: Art consulting, Artist Representation, Curation, and Production

Downtown Springfield is now illuminated by our latest public art production—a striking new interactive neon mural by artist Spidertag, wrapping around the walls of the city’s History Museum and Theater. The mural, titled Interactive Neon Mural #23, blends bold geometric patterns and vibrant colors into a dynamic artwork that spans across two walls and transforms the corner into a glowing landmark.

Designed for Sculpture Walk Springfield, this piece invites visitors to engage with the artwork by controlling the light hues and flashing patterns, creating an interactive experience that has thousands of combinations. Spidertag’s neon maze not only brightens the city’s streetscape but also provides an engaging way for viewers to interact with the art through an app.

Renowned for his innovative approach and cutting-edge vision, Spidertag defies traditional muralism techniques, creating truly immersive pieces that captivate audiences worldwide.

JUSTKIDS managed the entire project from conception to execution, navigating the technical complexities of neon lighting, design, and the integration of electronic components that power the interactive features.

“I am very pleased to contribute a positive brick to Springfield, one that aligns with the city’s vision.” explained the artist. “creating art that is accessible to everyone is something truly rewarding for me, which is why each Interactive Neon Mural is designed to generate a unique experience for the viewer.” - Spidertag

Upon completing his mural, residents were invited to Spidertag’s artist talk at the Historic Fox Theater followed by the successful official lighting event of the mural.

Interactive neon Mural #23 is located on Olive Street and North Roberson Avenue, on the North face of the Historic Fox Theatre.
