“TIME CHANGES EVERYTHING” INSTALLATION BY DAKU | DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS

Global creative house Justkids recently collaborated India’s most prominent anonymous street artist DAKU to create a site specific mural installation located on Fremont Street, in what is locally known and the writers corner. The time sensitive public art piece remains as an homage to the community bookstore the building formerly housed.

DAKU’s series of  text-based works “Time Changes Everything” including light based site installations have gained him global notoriety, creating sensible work that quietly activates through the day, revealing to the city dwellers a poetic chant, as though from the conscious experience of time itself.

For downtown Las Vegas, the artist called upon the words of history’s most gifted poet, William Shakespeare, to express time through time itself:

“Very Slow For Those Who Wait

Very Fast For Those Who Are Scared

Very Long For Those Who Lament

Very Short For Those Who Celebrate”
